60 PERFORMERS. 5 NIGHTS. 1 WINNER. $5,000 + A CRUISE FOR TWO.
Atlanta, we're looking for the next queer performer everyone should know.
BreakOUT ATL is a citywide LGBTQIA+ performance competition presented by OUT Local, bringing together some of Georgia's most exciting queer talent for five nights of creativity, competition and unforgettable performances. Singers, dancers, drag queens and drag kings, comedians, burlesque artists and everything in between - we're giving queer performers a stage to show Atlanta what they've got. And the stakes? $5,000 CASH + A CRUISE FOR TWO (cash prized provided by OUT Local, provided by Big Gay Cruise).
It all begins with 60 performers selected to compete across three audition nights at The Supermarket ATL. Each performer will have two minutes to impress a panel of judges and a live audience, with judges' selections and audience voting helping determine who advances. From there, 20 semifinalists will take the stage at Lips Atlanta, but only 10 will make it to the Grand Finale at Out Front Theatre Company, where one performer will be crowned the first-ever BreakOUT ATL champion.
And here's the fun part… THE AUDIENCE GETS A VOTE! Throughout the competition, guests will be able to vote for their favorite performers directly through the OUT Local app. So whether you're competing on stage or cheering from the crowd, you're part of what makes BreakOUT ATL happen. And thanks to our friends at buddy buddy, we're giving away a gift card to buddy buddy at each BreakOUT ATL competition! That's five events, five gift cards, and five chances for an audience member to walk away with a little something extra.
