Event Submission & Content Authorization Terms

These Event Submission & Content Authorization Terms govern event listings, event updates, photographs, videos, flyers, artwork, performer information, ticket links, promotional materials, and other content submitted to OUT Local™.

These terms form an agreement between Austin Randall, doing business as OUT Local™ (“OUT Local,” “OUT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), and the individual or organization submitting information or content (“you,” “your,” or the “Submitting Representative”).

By submitting an event, uploading content, requesting an event update, or selecting the checkbox indicating your agreement, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.

1. Your Authority

You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and are:

  • The organizer, producer, promoter, or host of the event;

  • The owner or authorized representative of the venue hosting the event;

  • A performer or authorized representative of a performer appearing at the event;

  • An employee, contractor, agent, publicist, marketing representative, or ticketing representative authorized to submit the event; or

  • Another person who has received permission from an authorized event representative to make the submission.

You may not submit an event or materials on behalf of another person, performer, venue, business, or organization without authorization.

OUT Local may request additional information reasonably necessary to verify your identity, relationship to the event, or authority to submit it.

2. Event Information Covered

These terms apply to information and materials you submit, upload, send, approve, or authorize in connection with an event, including:

  • Event title and description;

  • Event date, time, duration, and recurrence;

  • Admission price, ticket tiers, fees, and purchase links;

  • Reservation, registration, or RSVP links;

  • Age restrictions and identification requirements;

  • Accessibility information;

  • Dress code and entry policies;

  • Performer, speaker, host, DJ, artist, or vendor names;

  • Performer biographies, photographs, and appearance information;

  • Event flyers, posters, logos, graphics, and artwork;

  • Cancellation, postponement, refund, or schedule information;

  • Corrections and updates to existing listings; and

  • Other information or materials provided in connection with the event.

These materials are referred to collectively as the “Submitted Content.”

3. Permission to Create and Display the Event Listing

You authorize OUT Local to create, maintain, publish, display, organize, and promote a listing for the event through the OUT Local:

  • Website;

  • Mobile application;

  • Event calendar;

  • Search and discovery features;

  • Maps;

  • Emails and newsletters;

  • Social-media accounts;

  • Presentations;

  • Advertisements;

  • Launch materials; and

  • Related services and promotional channels.

You authorize OUT Local to associate the event with relevant venues, performers, cities, neighborhoods, dates, categories, collections, recommendations, and search results.

An event listing may include information submitted by you and factual information obtained from lawful public sources, including an authorized venue calendar, public event page, ticketing platform, performer announcement, or public professional social-media account.

4. License to Submitted Content

You retain any ownership rights that you or the applicable rights holders possess in the Submitted Content.

You grant OUT Local a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

  • Host and store the Submitted Content;

  • Reproduce, publish, display, distribute, and transmit it;

  • Resize, crop, compress, format, or convert it;

  • Edit written content for spelling, grammar, clarity, length, style, and formatting;

  • Create thumbnails, previews, excerpts, captions, and promotional layouts;

  • Include it in event, venue, and performer listings;

  • Include it in recommendations, calendars, maps, emails, presentations, advertisements, and social-media posts;

  • Use it to promote the event, its venue, and its participating performers;

  • Use it to promote OUT Local and the events and communities featured through the Service; and

  • Permit OUT Local’s contractors, hosting providers, designers, app providers, marketing vendors, and other service providers to process it as reasonably necessary for these purposes.

This license is limited to operating, maintaining, developing, publicizing, and promoting OUT Local and the events, venues, performers, organizations, and community resources featured through the Service.

Submitting content does not transfer ownership of that content to OUT Local.

5. Event Name, Branding, and Artwork

You authorize OUT Local to use the event’s approved:

  • Name;

  • Logo;

  • Slogan;

  • Visual identity;

  • Flyer;

  • Poster;

  • Promotional artwork; and

  • Other event branding

to identify, list, and promote the event.

OUT Local does not acquire ownership of event trademarks, artwork, or branding through this authorization.

OUT Local may resize, crop, reposition, or reformat event artwork to fit app screens, website layouts, social-media formats, advertisements, or other promotional placements.

OUT Local will not intentionally alter artwork in a way that materially misrepresents the event.

6. Photographs and Videos

You authorize OUT Local to use submitted or approved photographs and videos in:

  • Event listings;

  • Venue and performer profiles;

  • Search results and recommendations;

  • Website and app previews;

  • Social-media content;

  • Emails and newsletters;

  • Partner presentations;

  • Launch campaigns;

  • Digital advertisements; and

  • Other materials reasonably related to OUT Local.

OUT Local may crop, resize, compress, caption, format, shorten, or make other reasonable technical or editorial adjustments.

OUT Local will not intentionally edit visual content in a way that materially misrepresents the event, venue, performer, or person depicted.

7. Copyright and Creator Permissions

You confirm that you own the Submitted Content or have sufficient permission from each applicable rights holder to provide it to OUT Local for the uses described in these terms.

Necessary permissions may include permission from:

  • Photographers;

  • Videographers;

  • Graphic designers;

  • Illustrators;

  • Artists;

  • Marketing agencies;

  • Production companies;

  • Event producers;

  • Promoters;

  • Venues;

  • Performers;

  • Record labels;

  • Music publishers;

  • Copyright owners;

  • Trademark owners; and

  • Other creators or rights holders.

Possessing a copy of an image, video, flyer, or design—or posting it on social media—does not necessarily mean that you own its copyright or may authorize every additional use. Copyright ownership is distinct from ownership of the physical or digital copy containing the work.

Do not submit material when you are uncertain whether you have sufficient permission.

8. Performer Names, Images, and Likenesses

You may submit performer information only when you are authorized to publicize the performer’s participation or the information has already been publicly announced by an authorized source.

You confirm that you have any permission reasonably necessary to submit and authorize OUT Local’s use of:

  • Performer names and stage names;

  • Performer photographs and videos;

  • Performer biographies;

  • Logos and branding;

  • Voice recordings;

  • Promotional artwork;

  • Appearance dates and schedules; and

  • Other materials identifying or depicting a performer.

Your authority to promote a scheduled appearance does not automatically mean you own the performer’s photograph, logo, biography, voice, music, or other intellectual property.

OUT Local may remove or restrict performer-related content if a performer, photographer, agent, manager, or other rights holder objects while the issue is reviewed.

9. Music, Audio, and Performance Footage

Do not submit music, sound recordings, performance footage, promotional videos, or clips containing music unless you have sufficient permission for OUT Local to use that material as described in these terms.

Authorization from an event organizer or performer may not include permission from the:

  • Songwriter;

  • Music publisher;

  • Recording artist;

  • Record label;

  • Sound-recording owner;

  • Videographer;

  • Production company; or

  • Other applicable rights holder.

Copyright law recognizes separate rights in musical works and sound recordings, so permission relating to one component may not cover another.

OUT Local may mute, shorten, replace, decline, or remove audio or video when necessary to address copyright, platform, technical, or safety concerns.

10. People Appearing in Submitted Content

You confirm that you have any permission reasonably necessary to provide content depicting identifiable performers, hosts, employees, guests, attendees, photographers, vendors, or other individuals.

Do not submit:

  • Nonconsensual intimate imagery;

  • Content recorded in areas where people reasonably expect privacy;

  • Content intended to shame, expose, or endanger someone;

  • Images of an incapacitated person submitted to humiliate or exploit them;

  • Private messages or sensitive personal information;

  • Misleadingly altered images;

  • Sexualized content involving anyone under 18; or

  • Content that violates the OUT Local Community Guidelines.

OUT Local may reject or remove content when its use may create a privacy, consent, intellectual-property, or safety concern.

11. Accuracy of Event Information

You confirm that all event information submitted is accurate, current, and not misleading to the best of your knowledge.

This includes:

  • Event title;

  • Date and time;

  • Time zone;

  • Venue and address;

  • Ticket price and fees;

  • Ticket or registration link;

  • Age restrictions;

  • Accessibility information;

  • Performer lineup;

  • Event format;

  • Admission requirements;

  • Refund or cancellation information; and

  • Sponsor or partner information.

You agree not to knowingly submit:

  • An event that does not exist;

  • A canceled event presented as active;

  • A performer who is not scheduled to appear;

  • A false venue or address;

  • A fake or misleading ticket link;

  • A misleading price or “free” claim;

  • False claims that an event is official, endorsed, sponsored, or sold out;

  • Incorrect age restrictions;

  • Misleading accessibility information; or

  • Materially false descriptions.

12. Event Changes, Postponements, and Cancellations

You agree to notify OUT Local within a reasonable period if the event is:

  • Canceled;

  • Postponed;

  • Rescheduled;

  • Relocated;

  • Sold out;

  • Changed from in-person to virtual or vice versa;

  • Subject to a material lineup change;

  • Subject to a material price change; or

  • Otherwise materially altered.

OUT Local may update or remove an event based on information received from an authorized representative or found through a reliable public source.

OUT Local is not responsible for losses caused by your failure to provide accurate or timely updates.

13. Tickets, Registration, and Payment Links

You confirm that any ticket, registration, reservation, donation, or payment link submitted is legitimate and authorized for the event.

You may not submit:

  • Counterfeit ticket links;

  • Phishing links;

  • Unauthorized resale links;

  • Links that misrepresent the seller;

  • Links containing malware or harmful code;

  • Payment requests unrelated to the event; or

  • Links intended to deceive users.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, OUT Local is not the ticket seller, event organizer, payment processor, or refund provider.

Questions concerning ticket validity, fees, refunds, transfers, cancellations, or purchases are generally handled by the applicable event organizer, venue, or ticket provider.

14. Age-Restricted and Adult Events

You must accurately identify events that are restricted to attendees who are:

  • 18 or older;

  • 21 or older; or

  • Subject to another lawful age requirement.

You must not describe an age-restricted event as open to all ages.

Promotional materials must not contain unlawful sexual content, sexual exploitation, or sexualized content involving minors.

OUT Local may add an age label, content notice, warning, or visibility restriction when appropriate.

15. Accessibility Information

When providing accessibility information, you agree to act in good faith and avoid making claims that you know are inaccurate or misleading.

Relevant information may include:

  • Step-free entry;

  • Wheelchair-accessible seating;

  • Accessible restrooms;

  • Availability of interpreters or captions;

  • Sensory information;

  • Seating options;

  • Parking or transportation information; and

  • Contact information for accommodation requests.

OUT Local may edit accessibility information for clarity but does not independently certify that an event or venue is accessible.

Users should contact the event organizer or venue to confirm accommodations that are important to them.

16. Sponsors, Partners, and Paid Relationships

You must accurately identify any sponsor, partner, advertiser, or presenting organization included in the submission.

You may not falsely suggest that:

  • OUT Local sponsors or produces the event;

  • A performer endorses a sponsor;

  • A venue officially partners with an organization;

  • An event is affiliated with another event or brand; or

  • A paid relationship exists when it does not.

Where legally required, paid promotions, sponsorships, complimentary arrangements, and other material relationships must be clearly disclosed. FTC guidance provides that endorsements should be truthful and that connections capable of affecting how an endorsement is evaluated may require disclosure.

Sponsored placement purchased from OUT Local will be governed by separate written terms.

17. Editing and Formatting

OUT Local may edit Submitted Content for:

  • Grammar and spelling;

  • Clarity;

  • Length;

  • Formatting;

  • Search and categorization;

  • Accessibility;

  • Consistency;

  • Removal of duplicate information;

  • Removal of unnecessary personal information; and

  • Compliance with OUT Local policies.

OUT Local may select which submitted images, descriptions, and details appear in an event listing.

OUT Local will not knowingly make a material factual change that misrepresents the event.

You may request a correction by contacting hello@outlocal.com.

18. Publication and Promotion Are Not Guaranteed

Submitting an event does not guarantee:

  • Approval;

  • Publication;

  • Continued publication;

  • Featured placement;

  • Inclusion in recommendations;

  • Promotion through email or social media;

  • Inclusion in a launch campaign;

  • Ticket sales;

  • Attendance;

  • Revenue;

  • Media coverage; or

  • Any particular business result.

OUT Local may decline, delay, edit, archive, restrict, or remove an event listing or Submitted Content, subject to applicable law.

19. Standard Event Submissions

Unless otherwise disclosed, OUT Local does not charge a fee to submit a standard event for consideration.

Paid advertising, sponsored listings, featured placement, promotional campaigns, subscriptions, ticketing services, or other commercial services may be governed by separate written terms and charges.

Accepting these terms does not require you to purchase a paid service.

20. No Compensation or Royalties

Unless OUT Local agrees otherwise in a separate written agreement, you and the event’s participants will not receive compensation, royalties, license fees, residuals, or other payment for OUT Local’s authorized use of the Submitted Content.

The license granted to OUT Local is non-exclusive.

The applicable owners remain free to use, publish, license, and authorize their content elsewhere.

21. Removal and Withdrawal Requests

An authorized event representative or applicable rights holder may request that OUT Local:

  • Correct event information;

  • Remove or replace a photograph, video, flyer, or other material;

  • Update a ticket link;

  • Mark an event as canceled or postponed;

  • Remove outdated performer information;

  • Withdraw a submission; or

  • Review removal of the event listing.

Requests may be sent to hello@outlocal.com or submitted through the Manage Your Data page.

OUT Local may require verification of the requester’s identity, relationship to the event, or ownership of the content involved.

After confirming a valid request, OUT Local will make reasonable efforts to stop future use of the applicable Submitted Content within a reasonable processing period.

A withdrawal request may not require OUT Local to:

  • Recall emails already delivered;

  • Recall or destroy printed materials already distributed;

  • Alter completed presentations, advertisements, or reports;

  • Delete archived legal, safety, or authorization records;

  • Immediately remove information from temporary backups;

  • Control copies independently shared or stored by third parties; or

  • Remove content that OUT Local has another lawful basis or authorization to use.

22. Copyright, Likeness, and Other Complaints

Copyright complaints should be submitted according to the OUT Local Copyright & DMCA Policy.

Concerns involving:

  • Unauthorized use of a name or likeness;

  • Trademark rights;

  • False affiliation;

  • Impersonation;

  • Privacy;

  • Inaccurate information;

  • Unauthorized event submissions;

  • Fraudulent ticket links; or

  • Other legal or policy concerns

may be submitted to hello@outlocal.com.

Include the specific event listing or content involved, an explanation of the concern, your relationship to the affected person or rights holder, and any supporting information.

23. Your Representations

By submitting an event or Submitted Content, you represent and confirm that:

  • You have authority to accept these terms;

  • You have authority to submit the event;

  • The information supplied is accurate to the best of your knowledge;

  • You own or have sufficient permission to provide the Submitted Content;

  • OUT Local’s authorized use will not knowingly violate another person’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights;

  • You have obtained necessary permissions from photographers, videographers, designers, performers, venues, producers, and other rights holders;

  • Ticketing and payment links are legitimate and authorized;

  • The submission does not contain unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, or malicious material;

  • The submission complies with the OUT Local Terms of Use and Community Guidelines; and

  • You will notify OUT Local if these statements are no longer accurate.

24. Responsibility for Claims

You are responsible for information and content submitted through your event submission.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to reimburse and protect OUT Local, its owner, contractors, service providers, employees, and representatives from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from:

  • A material breach of these terms;

  • A false claim of authority;

  • Submitted Content that infringes another person’s rights;

  • Missing permission from a photographer, performer, venue, designer, promoter, producer, or other rights holder;

  • Materially false or misleading event information;

  • A fraudulent or unauthorized ticket link; or

  • Unlawful content submitted by you.

This obligation does not apply to a claim caused solely by OUT Local’s use of content outside the authorization granted by these terms.

25. No Partnership, Production Role, or Endorsement

An event listing or approved submission does not, by itself, create:

  • A legal partnership;

  • A joint venture;

  • An employment relationship;

  • An agency relationship;

  • A production relationship;

  • A ticketing relationship;

  • An ownership interest;

  • A sponsorship;

  • An exclusive arrangement; or

  • A formal endorsement.

OUT Local does not become responsible for organizing, operating, staffing, securing, licensing, insuring, or managing an event merely by listing or promoting it.

Neither party may enter into contracts or make legal commitments on behalf of the other without separate written authorization.

26. Event Operations and Legal Compliance

You and the applicable organizer or venue remain responsible for the event’s operation and compliance with applicable requirements, which may include:

  • Permits;

  • Licenses;

  • Insurance;

  • Performer agreements;

  • Music licensing;

  • Alcohol laws;

  • Fire and occupancy rules;

  • Security;

  • Accessibility obligations;

  • Age verification;

  • Taxes;

  • Ticketing;

  • Refunds; and

  • Health and safety procedures.

OUT Local does not review or certify an event’s legal compliance merely by accepting or publishing a listing.

27. Relationship to Other OUT Local Policies

Use of OUT Local is also governed by the:

  • Terms of Use;

  • Privacy Policy;

  • Community Guidelines;

  • Copyright & DMCA Policy;

  • Manage Your Data process;

  • Venue Listing & Content Authorization Terms, where applicable;

  • Performer Listing & Content Authorization Terms, where applicable; and

  • Any separate advertising, sponsorship, subscription, ticketing, or partner agreement that applies.

If these terms conflict with the general Terms of Use regarding an event submission, these more specific Event Submission & Content Authorization Terms will govern that submission.

28. Term and Continuing Provisions

These terms apply beginning when you submit an event or Submitted Content.

The authorization continues until the applicable content is removed, permission is withdrawn, or OUT Local no longer needs it for an authorized purpose.

Sections concerning ownership, previously authorized use, representations, responsibility for third-party claims, completed materials, dispute terms, and retained authorization records may continue after withdrawal where reasonably necessary.

29. Changes to These Terms

OUT Local may update these terms to reflect changes in the Service, event-submission process, content practices, or legal obligations.

The revised version will display an updated date.

Material changes will apply prospectively unless additional notice or consent is required.

30. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Any dispute that may be brought in court will be subject to the jurisdiction provisions contained in the OUT Local Terms of Use.

31. Electronic Agreement

Selecting an agreement checkbox, submitting an event, uploading Submitted Content, or otherwise electronically indicating agreement constitutes acceptance of these terms.

You should save a copy for your records.

OUT Local may retain records showing the date, time, email address, form response, and version of the terms connected to a submission.
